Hello -
Well, I have been shooting Mini-dv for awhile (since 1998 when I got my brand new XL-1) and am now interested in shooting with film.
8mm seems the logical step.
So, I have been doing some research on cameras but with so much info out there I am a little dizzy.
Anyone here care to throw out recommendations?
I will be happy to spend up to a thousand bucks on a camera.
I think I will need crystal synced as I tend to shoot a lot of long shots, with dialogue.
I ain't too concerned whether fixed or removable lenses.
what is it, ground glass, that makes focusing easier and a tape measure less needed?
Thank you in advance.

thousand dollars for the camera? wow,... You might try seek for canon 1014 or Nikon super 8mm camera... sync sound would be okay but boomer will do the best way to do,... also you will need the lights for the film works. and hostboard is best place to give more advice for your next step of yse film... Good Luck also welcome to Super 8mm world. I have been film for two years. Jerome, deaf filmmaker
